is there a psychological view poin of the movie Where the Wild Things Are?
just watched it to day and was wandering….if so can you explain it
Well, this is how I see it:
Max was obviously a troubled child. His dad was not around, his sister ignored him, and he felt that his mom didn’t love him enough. He acted out to get attention, which frustrated his mom and made her yell at him which made him feel even more unloved. He ran away to where the wild things are, and there he meets Carol, KW, and all the others. I think Carol represents Max, and KW and the others represent Max’s mom/sister/his broken family or something. Carol acts out because he wanted KW’s attention. He wanted her to stay so their family would be complete. Like Max loved his mom, Carol loved KW, and he thought that she didn’t love him back (he was jealous of those two owls. I forgot their names, but it was sort of like the situation with Max and his mom’s new bf). KW talked to Max about how she loved Carol and the others, but he just made things harder to become a family. I guess Max realized that Carol and him were alike, and that he had been making things harder than it already was for his mom.
I might be wrong, but yea, that’s how I interpreted the movie.

Mormons where are the gold plates that Joseph Smith claimed that he found?
I believe that he may have found them about the time that he was plagiarizing "A View of The Hebrews"by Ethan Smith.
The story goes, when the translation was finished, the plates were taken back to heaven by an angel Moroni….(how convenient)
See…http://mormonism.suite101.com/article.cfm/the_golden_plates
Why do the LDS answers here state that the two book you mention, have nothing to do with each other? Because they most certainly do.
See…http://www.lds-mormon.com/voh.shtml
from site….The BOM of Mormon was "written" a few years after the view of the Hebrews.
* "View of the Hebrews" flooded the area in which Joseph Smith lived.
* The author (Ethan Smith) was the pastor of the religious congregation in which the (Oliver) Cowdrey family attended.
* The (Oliver) Cowdrey family was related to the (Joseph) Smith family, and Oliver Cowdrey assisted in the "translation" of the Book of Mormon.
* On what was probably a promotional tour for his book, Ethan Smith visited the small hometown (Palmyra) of Joseph Smith in late 1826.
* Josiah Priest’s The Wonders of Nature and Providence, Displayed (1825), which also includes numerous parallels to the Book of Mormon, quotes extensively from Ethan Smith’s book and is known to have been available in the local Manchester Rental Library when Joseph Smith lived in the village.
More?
Here are some similarities from historian, B.H. Roberts.
* extensive quotation from the prophecies of Isaiah in the Old Testament
* the Israelite origin of the American Indian
* the future gathering of Israel and restoration of the Ten Lost Tribes
* the peopling of the New World from the Old via a long journey northward which encountered "seas" of "many waters"
* a religious motive for the migration
* the division of the migrants into civilized and uncivilized groups with long wars between them and the eventual destruction of the civilized by the uncivilized
* the assumption that all native peoples were descended from Israelites and their languages
from Hebrew
* the burial of a "lost book" with "yellow leaves"
* the description of extensive military fortifications with military observatories or "watch towers" overlooking them
* a change from monarchy to republican forms of government
* the preaching of the gospel in ancient America.

He was the man that wrote HIS work of fiction about the lost civilization of the mound builders of North America. The similarities between this mans book and the BOM are very clear.
Is there similarities between the names of cities (areas) in the Book of Mormon and those of north east United states and Canada of the time?

Is how we think or view the world around us, influenced by a man behind the curtain? ———————?
Also, have you heard what "Parliament Funkadelic" said -?
Definetly so- the "man behind the curtain" is the guy who owns your newspaper or your TV station. As an example – all the media outlets in the US are owned by 5 people. 4 are "leftie-liberals" and one is "conservative" (guess who the "FOX" belongs to)
Unless you go fishing (and DEEP) in the internet, you’ll hear only what they choose you to hear
BTW- I heard that one "greenie/man made global warming" fanatic managed to get himself appointed as editor in Vikipedia and deleted the Medieval Warm period and the Little Ice Age (among 5000 plus items) from history – before he got found out eventually. Talk about the "man behind the curtain"…
Can I plug in my macbook to my Samsung HD LCD TV to view my videos from the web?
I have all the cables, but for now the tv manual states Windows XP only. I need to know if Mac use is possible.
Yes by using a standard monitor cable or a HDMI cable, if your TV/computer supports HD.

Can you say beatdown?!?
Brock would murder snooki with ease. Brock lesnar is like a caged lion who hasnt fought for almost a year. Bring anybody in to the cage on lesnar’s return, brock would smash them. Bcoz hes in search of prey. So i would say R.I.P Snooki
How do the people from the Middle East, and South Asian typically view each other?
///,
Unfortunately, since the middle east is a richer area, middle eastern see the south Asians as maids !
If somebody doesn’t like what I’m saying, it’s because he wants to hide.
We don’t have any respect for them, we treat them like slaves, and this is racist,; one of the last areas on the globe where slavery is still "ON" is in the middle east, also the last Apartheid colony on the globe is the Zionist state.
I am a middle eastern.
