@Scrinoverlord – Napoleon was not very supportive, just to mention he made this Duchy out of the Hohenzollerns and Habsburgs occupations and gaved the Białystok district to his friend… Khan Alexander. It was established a Duchy, following the partition treatyies, it couldn`t be a Kingdom and a Duke was… the Duke of Saxony. Why Napoleon didn`t wanted army of the Duchy to be bigger than 100.000? This video could not mention Napoleon at all, after all he changed nothing.

Do you realize if Napoleon actually went out and re-constructed the Kingdom of Poland this would infuriate the very nations he was trying to make peace with? He had every intention to establish the Kingdom again with Poniatowski as king if he had his way. He despised religious intolerance and he despised what the Poles were going through: being oppressed by kings, just like France was.

I’m pretty sure he changed a *significant* amount of things.

@Scrinoverlord – that`s what i`ve said, his ally Khan of Moscovia Alexander was more important, the first borders of Duchy were carved out of the Hohenzollerns occupation, the rest was gained thanks to a brilliant strategy of Poniatowski in the war against Austria and of course aprooved by victorious Napoleon. His way? In his way i`d belive he`d put some Murat or some cousin in charge instead of Duke of Saxony. I`m saying he was an imperial imposter, revolution was over.

@MaximusProteus Again, Napoleon wanted Poniatowski for King of Poland, he said this himself. “I would have made him [ Poniatowski ] King of Poland had I succeeded in Russia.”

Wait, you mean Alexander I, the person who wanted Poland to be annexed under Russian control, was more important than Napoleon, who was greeted with much more warmer reception and supported Polish independence?

@Scrinoverlord – why he didn`t listened to Poniatowski when proposed to strike along Ukraine? Why didn`t allowed the army of Duchy to be bigger than 100K? Most of the Polish troops were scattered in the French units, only 35K remined under the leadership of Poniatowski. After the failure of the Grande Armee some circles wanted to switch the sides, Poniatowski remined loyal till his death. Between 1813-14 Muscovites took 258M Złoty (gulden) in contibution…
