ok i have windows xp professional and it used to be on server view(you have to type in username and password). i want it to become just icons for each user. how do i change it.

You need to go tosystem preferences>right click my computer>go to computer name >to remove this computer to join a domain, click change>change the computer name>in the member of choice work group and name it….then ok and apply, Do not restart at this time….Go to manage>right click my computer and manage>users and groups>users.>administrator and add you,>and in user add whoever else>make sure you check the options you want on passwords and what not…Restart the system….good Luck….
