Is this legal to do in Suffolk County New York.
It is normal where i come from.They used to have tape recordings on what we do.That way,we will all behave the way that an employee should.But after a while,you will get used to it.Its not as bad as you think

I would be glad they did it. That way the boss can see my fellow employees screwing around while I work, makes me look better, and when the register comes up short they won’t blame me.
If you think this infringes on your privacy or don’t get an answer that works for you then contact your local PD and see what they suggest. If you do not like being watched then you can quit. Course if I installed cameras in my work place and I had an employee quit I would think that employee was doing something I would not like or that he thought I would not like.

Why would it be illegal for them to instal cameras on their own property. As long as they don’t put them in the bathroom they are doing nothing wrong.
