how can i view all my pics in thumbnail inside a folder.?

Hi,i just bought a laptop with vista window. But how can i view all my pics in thumbnail inside a folder.Currently i see only icons no matter what viewing option i use.Can only see the pic if i open it.

Click on the down arrow next to Views (just below the address bar) and choose Large or Extra Large Icons
