I have a Panasonic Lumix DMC TZ3 digital camera and I been wanting to view picture on it.
I tried to click and drag the picture file (jpeg) to the memory card. However, when I put the memory card in the slot and turn it on, I cannot view it on play back mode.
Any help?
Why do you want to view a pictures from your computer on your camera? That doesn’t make sense really. Usually it’s the other way around.
That is right … Play back means play back of the images stored on the cameras memory card that got there as a result of the camera capturing the shots. Once the image file leaves the camera, it has been changed and cannot be viewed again on the camera.
The techincal reason:
Memory cards have a feature that will not allow copyrighted files to be copied to the card or played back.
The image you take is automatically copyrighted, but the camera puts a special key in the image file which allows it to be played back for viewing …. once the file is copied to the computer, the key is stripped from the file and can no longer be viewed if copied back to the card.

Normally you can view the picture. It might not work for certain cameras though.
When you plug in your cam into the computer and go to My Computer or Finder for MAC, go to the memory card. You have to place the jpeg image into certain folder.
This is because when you take pictures on your camera, the camera makes a special directory (folder) on the card and places all the pictures here. Any images in this directory should be able to be viewed on the cameras playback mode.
Normally you open the "DCIM" directory then there will be one more directory that is named after your camera. Maybe something like "PANTZ3" for your cam. If this directory isn’t on your card, the easiest way to get it is by taking a picture with your camera then going back to your computer. Taking that picture will create that directory and place the photo in it. Now that you have the correct directory name on the card, you can place your photo from your computer onto the card.
If taking the photo doesn’t create the folders, the folders might be hidden. Go to "Tools"-"Folder Options"-"View" Tab-and check "Show Hidden Files and Folders"
Hopefully that works….
But I do have to ask, why?

you need to download a picture from your camera and then open it up in photoshop and change the photo and resave it as the same name and the same resolution and the same file size then, drag it back onto your cameras memory card.
I wanted to show off some photo designs on my camera’s lcd, it worked for me.
