Although, if I were …
Although, if I were you, I’d take some more pride in being a member of C.O.D.A as well as a sense of belonging to both hearing and deaf worlds. I would imagine that since you’re in a Deaf family, you’d have to have a closer bond and a better relationship in sense of communication. (Which can be a burden when it gets too much, ex] Brining an interpreter to have your mom to oversee your biology homework) Therefore, we both belong in a beautiful place in between both of the worlds.
I think it’s a …
I think it’s a really interesting thing for me to watch this since I’m on the alternative end of the perspective. I’m the only deaf individual of my family and I’ve found a hard time communicating with my family since they never learned to use sign language, therefore, I had to be able to speak verbally only to have access in communication with my own blood.
I really hope this …
I really hope this airs…would love to see the Deaf community represented in a positive way showing the culture and not the stigma. Can’t wait to see if this show gets off the ground!!
I think this is a …
I think this is a great idea. Growing up with Deaf parents, my hearing sisters and I always said what a hysterical (and mind-opening) TV show our lives would make. I don’t know how my parents didn’t go crazy trying to keep the three of us in line, and of course there were hard times, but that is typical of any family, not just because Mom and Dad are Deaf.
About time. I’m …
About time. I’m excited to see the next episode… And there WILL be a next!

I really like this family how they work thing out with communication. I wishes I have deaf sister or brother or someone in my families can sign. I’m deaf and can talk. I love my family but wishes they can communicate instead of left me out. This is neat video of your family. Thanks for sharing!!!! Keep your head up

Way to gojust the show of the decade! I look forward to more authentic and engaging than “scripted” drama settings. Thanks to Marlee and the Firls for getting this headstart –a sample of the Deaf community at its best! We do not get to see a genre of Deaf programs representing purportedly unscripted dramatic and humorous documents of actual events. Thank you also for making time to feature ordinary people instead of professional actors!

Such delightful REALITY! Thank you so much, Marlee, for sharing this so brilliantly in clear context with the world! This even surfaces many of my feelings from childhood.
