Will the marine corps background check see my high school disciplinary record?

im enlisting and i want to know if the marine corps can view my high school disciplinary record. Not if they can really, but if they will…

At MEPS you will be asked if you had any trouble in school such as being suspended or expelled. You will answer yes or no accordingly. When you get your one-on-one with the MEPS doctor he will ask you to explain the nature of the suspension or expulsion and he will be the one who determines whether or not it warrants further investigation and how it will affect your enlistment.

If you try to lie and say that you had no high school trouble all it takes is a single phone call to learn that you lied and you will be disqualified due to fraudulent enlistment.

Will they check? They may, they may not, but if you disclose it out right it’s better than trying to lie about it.

If you want to join the marines right after HS they probably would check that. The marines and army look for people who know how to behave and follow strict rules.

    For a regular enlistment, no.
    For a secret clearance, no.
For a top secret clearance, I would say only if they have a reason to.
