How do I open a new window as expanded (maximized) view?

I am clicking on weblinks and the new window (internet explorer 6) always opens in a the small view and not the large view.

I did try opening a new window then expanding it and then closing all the windows as someone suggested but that did not work.

Looking forward to hearing from people.

Minimize the original window then click the maximize box of the new window.

The other person’s method is correct, unless you have some spyware causing it to not maximize.

When you just open the first IE window, is it already maximized? Make sure when you close all the windows, the LAST one must be maximized.

I guess you could also edit the properties of your IE shortcut and tell it to run "maximized" instead of "normal window," although I don’t think that would help with other windows.
