3 people room interior or ocean view?

we are sailing with Carnival this coming march and will be sharing a room for 3 people. i was wondering whether there is a big difference in space between the interior rooms and the ocean view ones, and do the OV rooms and balcony rooms have the same size? i’m just wondering whether it’s worth spending the extra money not because we want a view or a balcony but more b/c we want a bigger room to move around.

I asked the Carnival representitive the same question yesterday when booking my cruise. She told me that the ocean view and interior rooms are the same in size, and the window is the only difference. The ocean view appear to be larger on their website, but I am going to go with what the rep says and go with the cheaper room. Good luck!!

The Carnival website should show the square footage of each room. If not, a Carnival phone rep can provide you this info on particular rooms.

If you are dealing with rooms in the cheaper categories (which is what I book) my experience has been that insides and oceanviews are near identical, except for the window.

    Good luck.

Some of the newer ships have larger balcony cabins, but inside/ocean view are pretty much the same size.
    Good luck!

The Carnival website will give the square footage of the different cabins. Insides and outsides are generally exactly the same except for having the window. Balcony cabins may be somewhat larger, but they’re still going to be pretty small.

One tip: When it comes time to get ready for dinner [or whatever], some of you can go up to the gym and use the showers there to begin to get ready. Bigger showers, towels, etc. Lots easier than trying to rotate bathroom/dressing time, especially with the tiny cabins.

It is definitely worth the extra money. The last place you want to be is an interior room. A big part of the cruise experience is being able to look out on the ocean, whether from an outside room or, preferably a balcony room.

I’ve had oceanview rooms and balcony rooms and size isn’t a big deal cuz there all pretty much the same. The balcony gives you extra room outside the cabin. A inside cabin is totally dark with the lights off whether day or night, but who spends a lot of time in there room anyway? Get a $10dollar motion sensor light from Walmart to brighten up the room at night when you need to get up. I think it will work in the dark? The oceanview windows get salted up and hard to see out of towards the end of your cruise, so that’s something to think about. In my opinion the balcony is well worth it. Even docked at port it’s fun to watch the people coming and going. Last trip they wouldn’t let two women back on the ship cuz there boyfriend had the papers and was drunk somewhere off by himself. That was hillarious and sad at the same time. They eventually got back on after they escorted the boyfriend out of the bar and back to the ship.

the balcony is worth it. on a cruise you do not want a inside room it gets very stuffy and hot. the window in a oceanveiw does not due the difference it is well worth the money for a balcony. i have tried all 3

Some of the newer ships have a little bit bigger balcony cabins (I DO ME A LITTLE!!!) IT is definitely not worth the money. I would go with interior b/c it is the cheapest…………all you do in your cabin is sleep anyway….

I went on a carnival cruise in september. I stayed in an ocean view and I had a friend in an interior. They were almost exactly the same space wise. I had shared a room with my brother and sister. It had bunk beds and another bed. We had friends on the same floor right next to us though and they had 2 beds and 2 cheap cot things so i’d ask

It depends on what size room you got.
But the spaces are the same size.

    Get Ocean View.
    BIG difference.

The rooms are so small you can barely move.
With the window, there will at least be light.
Without it, it’s pitch black AND cramped.

Unless you plan not to be in your room most of the time.
