Mac users, how can I view history once it has been deleted via history drop tab?

I am used to Windows and am still learning about the Mac. Are there files I can view that will show me the history once it has been deleted?

Do you mean your Safari browser history? Browser history data is contained in /Users/[username]/Library/Safari/History.plist. You can try opening it using TextEdit or some other program but the data is stored is a little cryptic. However, once you select "Clear History" in Safari, that file is cleared out and there’s no backup.
