How Many views does a youtube video have to have before demographic data can be calculated?

Mine has about 1500 views, but still no demographic data or "hot spots" can be calculated.

Most of my views are from external embedding. Could that affect it?

Yea, I think it could. Mine had around 2000 before I could get it up. Whats ur vid link? Id like to check it out!

I’m actually not 100% sure about this- some vids for me it worked at 500 views while others it wasn’t until 4000 views. I think it just takes time. The longer the vid is up the better chance you have of seeing your demographics. External embedding could effect that- but in that case you should be able to see what sites are linking to your video and other ways your video is being seen.
