I love to get high, and smoke every day and have been for the past three years. But I cant understand why so many people are against it. I was a great student in high school, graduated in the top ten percent of my class, and plan on going to Texas A&M in the fall, so Im obviously not a loser or anything, but I do challenge the traditional views held against people who enjoy getting high.
What’s your opinion?
I think most people are wary of it because it can cause problems in the long run, studies have obviously proved that. Not everybody can cope with being a pothead and having a successful life like you, most people become burnouts and give up on things easily since getting high is a good escape.
Everyone is changing their view on it. Only real old people make such a big deal about it. I say its only a matter of time before it is legal. Ive seen a lot more problems caused from booze, that’s for sure.

Science wins. Science loves pot smoking. Anti-science hates it. Be a scientist, and you’re either against smoking it for scientific personal reasons, or for it for personal reasons, but you can’t be against it for any kind of provable scientific reason.

I wouldn’t ever get high on it, but I don’t have a problem with it for the most part. I don’t have a problem with the people who smoke it UNLESS they put others in harm’s way by driving or something else that’s incredibly stupid. As long as they avoid that, it’s fine.

I have a bunch of friends that smoke weed I really don’t think there’s nothing bad about it there all fine and there doing good, so I don’t see why people make such a big deal and its true only the grown old people make such a big deal out of it.. I’ve never gotten high, but really I wouldn’t mind

Self-indulgent and immature, but the worst of it is kids like you are convinced it does no harm. Recent research shows otherwise. And we’ve known for quite some time that smoking any plant material carries the same risk for lung cancer as tobacco.

I’ve lived with a pot dealer and I’ve lived with a pot user and you know what? Smoking pot is addictive for some people. Not everyone can just use it or leave it. I have seen pot heads who steal,lie,sell their valuables, spend their entire check, have sex with people they normally wouldn’t, let their children go without food, all sorts of things just to get the money up to buy a little weed. Not everyone can use marijuana without a negative effect. I’ve seen some pretty godawful, nasty crap just so a person can get high from something that they claim is harmless and non addictive.
I don’t think it should be legalized at all. Good for you accomplishing all these things while being a pothead, but for the general population, this isn’t the way things go. For every pot "success" story, I’ve seen 10 horrible burn out failures.

I used to smoke weed alot and i loved it but if u smoke it enough it really can cause mental disorders like schizophrenia. I have deceloped severe deppression and anxiety but i think it only happens to certain people. Now when ever i smoke or even take like 3 hits i get a panic attack that lasts about 2 hours and it sucks sooo bad but im not saying its gunna happen to u but i know im not the only one. I have also lost alot of friends because i smoked and now that i quit smoking my smokein buddies dont call me anymore and my old frienda dont like me but only 3 morr yeara of high school and i can forget about all of this so what ever keep smoking if it makes u happy but beware of the risks i used to think it wasnt bad for me at all and now i wish i never did it
